Paul Soriano On Leave As Presidential Adviser Due To This Reason

PCO Secretary Cheloy Garafil confirmed that Paul Soriano is currently on leave.

Presidential Adviser for creative communications Secretary Paul Soriano took a leave ahead of the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2023.

The appointed Presidential Adviser For Creative Communications Secretary is director Paul Soriano. He was appointed by the president last year, months after he won. To recall, Soriano and his wife host Toni Gonzaga were among the top supporters of his candidacy during the election season.

President Bongbong Marcos’ first State of the Nation Address (SONA) in 2022 was directed by Soriano. He was also the consultant for the inaugural setup.

He also just recently launched “We Give the World Our Best”. This is a campaign that shows the outstanding traits and talents of Filipino people. However, he missed directing the SONA 2023. What could be the reason?

According to Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil, the appointed Presidential Adviser for creative communications secretary was on leave. He took the leave due to personal reasons ahead of this year’s SONA.

In an interview, Garafil did not disclose when he will be coming back based on a report from Manila Bulletin. Other people online speculated that the personal reason must be because of his wife who is currently pregnant with their second baby.

Meanwhile, in PBBM’s second SONA, he stressed the “significant progress” of his administration in many areas. According to the 17th president of the Philippines, there’s a difference now in how the country is seen in the international community not just on how the systems work and how the government works.

This year’s SONA was attended by thousands of guests which included Marcos administration officials, past presidents, and members of the diplomatic corps. 22,000 police were also deployed across Metro Manila.

Since Soriano was not directing, Radio Television Malacanang spearheaded the coverage of the event.
