A concerned resident reacts to a newly-installed pedestrian in the area saying “dami ko iniisip dumagdag pa to.”
A Facebook user named Dezuke Chua, a resident of North Caloocan raised an important issue after coming across a newly installed pedestrian lane in their village. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.
Chua said that lack of proper planning and execution left him worried about the potential dangers it poses to the residents, especially children. He forgot to film the installation of the pedestrian lane.
“Siguro dahil malapit na ang back to school or whatever, need talaga sa lugar namin ng pedestrian lane lalo’t takaw disgrasya sa’min at delikado po para sa mga bata. Hindi ko lang talaga sila na-videohan kasi that night na gumawa sila, papunta po ako sa work,” Dezuke said.
Dezuke, who witnessed the construction process, pointed out that the pedestrian lane was built in the early hours of the morning. However, when he saw the final outcome the next day, he couldn’t help but worry if proper instructions were followed throughout implementation.

The pedestrian lane was not properly aligned with the subdivision’s entry or departure, causing confusion and posing serious dangers to pedestrians.
This concern extends beyond Dezuke’s village, as he discovered similar problems in nearby barangays. The lack of correct alignment and compliance with established requirements calls into question the overall effectiveness and safety of such pedestrian lanes.
The concerned resident urged everyone involved in the planning and installation of pedestrian lanes, particularly in North Caloocan, to be more attentive and thorough in their execution.
“Panawagan ko po sa lahat po ng gumawa or gumagawa ng pedestrian lane, lalo po dito sa lugar namin [sa] North Caloocan. Tingnan niyo po ‘yung ginawa niyong pedestriane lane, imbis po na magamit at mapakinabangan ng marami, napagtawanan pa po ng marami. Sayang lang po gumastos sa project na ‘to,” he added.
