Alden Richards shared pieces of advice for showbiz newbies
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards stressed that as a showbiz newbie being choosy should not be done.
Alden has been in the industry for more than a decade now. He is one of those celebrities who were able to make it big in the entertainment industry in just that span of time. The actor is considered one of the most trusted personalities when it comes to product endorsements, aside from his acting and hosting stints.
Just like many big stars now, he also came from the bottom and worked his way to the top. He went through auditions and rejections as well.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Alden Richards said that in every success and fruitful endeavor in life, pain and struggles will always be there. He wants to show the younger generation of stars that the showbiz journey will always have difficulties.
The Kapuso star pointed out that it is not just smiling and being cute or good-looking in front of the camera.
“Gusto kong mapakita yung reyalidad ng showbiz na, ano bang nangyayari? Akala nila ngiti-ngiti lang, pogi lang, maganda lang,” paliwanag ng Pambansang Bae. But what is the business all about? How difficult it is to stay, how difficult it is to go? The people you trust in the industry, who are they? You really have to be careful,” Alden said.
He also pointed out that showbiz is business also and there is competition. The actor said that every day, there is something new and there were those who will do better projects.
Alden, on the other hand, said that he is not threatened by other artists as he is just doing things that make him feel fulfilled. “Never po ako naging insecure sa mga kasama ko dito sa industriya. It’s really a matter of how you handle it,” he shared.
The actor also said that nothing comes easy in showbiz and everything should be paid with hard work. Then, Alden pointed out that showbiz newbies have no right to be choosy.
“Wag po kayong maging choosy kung wala pa po kayong napapatunayan. I don’t mean this in a negative way, I mean this in an inspirational kind of way na you have to prove yourself first bago ka mamili,” he said.
Alden Richards shared that in the first six or seven years of his career, he went through a lot and he has done what was tasked to him to do without question. He also expressed gratitude to everyone who helped him in his showbiz journey.
