Philippine Statistics Authority – Region 7’s Facebook Page Gets Hacked, Posts Random Photos
The Facebook page of the Philippine Statistics Authority – Region 7 reportedly got hacked, and the public is urged to unfollow the compromised account.
The reported hacking of PSA-7’s Facebook page caused quite a buzz on social media platforms. Due to unauthorized access to the official page, the profile picture and cover photo were replaced with random photos.
The hacker changed the profile picture to that of a woman, and a random couple’s picture was displayed as the cover photo. The agency asked the public to report the hacked social media page.

PSA had already reported the incident to Meta immediately after the account was hacked.
The Philippine Statistics Authority – Central Visayas has issued a statement regarding the hacking incident. The agency advised their followers to unfollow the account, which was hacked on February 22, 2023.
Instances like this also emphasize the importance of the general public in swiftly reporting questionable activity on social media platforms. Users can help prevent the spread of misleading or inaccurate information by reporting compromised accounts and avoiding engagement with them.
Previously, a man has been arrested after hacking messenger account and asking cash from contact list.
