Filipino Driver Pranks Passengers by Pretending to be Korean

A Filipino driver has gone viral, spreading good vibes online, after playing a prank on his passengers by pretending to be Korean.

Vlogger Don Vertos TV quickly gained popularity on social media for his hilarious prank videos with passengers. The content creator often pretends to be a Korean national when interacting with commuters.

In one of his videos, the ride-hailing app driver asked his passengers how to say specific words in English. The kind-hearted and understanding commuters patiently helped him translate several words.

As the journey progressed, the Filipino driver suddenly switched to speaking in Tagalog as he dropped off his passengers at their destination. The passengers were taken aback, and laughter ensued as they realized they had been pranked.

Like the taxi driver who offers free rides to teachers and students after his wife passes LET Board Exams, he brings good vibes to his passengers.

Don Vertos has a dream of landing a job in South Korea, leading him to study the Korean language diligently. Despite his efforts, the aspiring overseas Filipino worker (OFW) repeatedly fell short of passing the examination by just one point.

As a result, the vlogger decided to work as a driver in the meantime. He is well-known for picking up Korean passengers as a way to improve his communication skills. In his car, he even has a list of Korean phrases along with their English meanings, which he uses to make his act even more convincing.

His entertaining stint in pretending to be Korean successfully fooled many of his unsuspecting passengers, leading them to genuinely believe that he was indeed from Korea.

The video has a caption:

“THE BEST KOREAN PRANK FUNNY REACTION! THE EXECUTION AND REVELATION, IT’S A FAKE KOREAN!”

The social media users expressed their reactions to the video:
