Tony-award-winning theater star Lea Salonga has this reminder to people after a video of her unexpected encounter with fans surfaced online.

Lea has a lot of fans in the Philippines and with her international exposure, it is not a thing to wonder that she also has fans in other countries. She is considered one of the “Pinoy pride” when it comes to the entertainment industry.

Just recently, a video of her encounter with fans in her dressing room. She politely explained to the fans that due to security purposes, those who are not on the guest list are not allowed in that area.

At first, the fans insisted that they just want to have a photo with her, and one even mentioned that they are friends with former actress G Tongi, who was a co-producer of the said event.

However, based on Lea Salonga’s reply to a tweet, G denied that she knew those people who went to the dressing room.

Following that incident, the Broadway diva reiterated a reminder. She retweeted her post last May 5. This post was about her comment on the news about BTS member Jungkook’s reaction to fans sending him food.

Lea said that her mom trained her not to accept food from strangers even though they just want to show kindness. “This is one of the things my mother trained me to do: NEVER ACCEPT FOOD FROM STRANGERS. Even if the giver’s meaning is well-intentioned, there are those out there whose intentions are to harm or even to kill,” she wrote in her tweet last May.

When she retweeted this on July 17, she stressed a reminder. “Just a reminder… I have boundaries. Do not cross them. Thank you,” the singer-actress.
