Beauty queen-actress Herlene Budol talked about her decision to have an interpreter during the Miss Granfd Philippines 2023 coronation night.
Herlene continues her journey in the pageant scene. She was hailed as the representative of the Philippines in the Miss Tourism 2023 competition that will be held in London this coming November
Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, during Miss Grand Philippines 2023 coronation night, many were surprised that Herlene brought an interpreter with her for the question-and-answer portion.
Herlene Budol said that she will also bring an interpreter for her international pageant competition. If she brought an interpreter for the local pageant, she stressed that she needs to do this even more for the international competition.
“Oo, dito nga po sa Pilipinas, nakapagdala ako. Dito sa Pilipinas na maraming nagta-Tagalog, nakapagdala ako sa tabi ko. What more pa po sa ibang bansa? Gusto ko kasi mas maraming makaintindi sa kagaya ko na hindi ganoon kagalingan sa Ingles pero pinipilit,” she said.
Aside from the Miss Tourism PH title, Herlene also received special awards such as “Best in Runway, Miss Arena Plus, Miss Mermaid Manila Hair, Miss Bluewater Day Spa, and Miss Ever Bilena.
