“Kasi isa sa mga pinagdadaanan ni Herlene is ‘yung mental health dahil sa bashing.”

Wilbert also left a thoughtful comment for the critics. “At wag nating pagtatawanan ang isang tao na tulad sa kanya, na simpleng tao na nangangarap ay ngayon ay natupad na.”

Herlene’s response during the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 pageant’s Q&A session went viral. One of the judges asked Herlene what she thought was the most pressing issue facing Filipino kids today and how she would handle it.

After answering the question, she made the audience applaud by saying, “I-English-in niya po,” referring to her interpreter. Herlene spoke about her important advocacy at the Top 15 speech segment of Miss Grand Philippines 2023.

She stated that she will promote online safety as an influencer. She couldn’t help but exclaim “woooh” as she struggled to find the next things to say. The said occasion then created a lovely atmosphere in the venue and caused the audience to cheer for her.
