87-Year-Old Grandpa Accompanies Grandchildren on Stage During Graduation
An 87-year-old grandpa touched the hearts of the online community after accompanying his grandchildren on stage during graduation.
A touching video has captured the hearts of netizens as it shows an elderly grandpa, with the support of his grandchildren, climbing the stage during their moving up and graduation ceremony. Despite his difficulty walking and ascending the stairs, he accompanied his grandchildren, who brought honor through their academic achievements.
The heartwarming scene, shared by teacher Cyrell Jones Sidlao from Sindangan Elementary School in Zamboanga Del Norte, has resonated with viewers and serves as a powerful reminder of the love and support provided by grandparents.
The video showcases the heartwarming moment when the loving lolo, visibly happy and proud, walks hand-in-hand with his grandchildren up the stage. Despite his age and physical challenges, the grandfather’s presence and unwavering support shine through.
Teacher Cyrell Jones Sidlao expressed her admiration, saying, “This really melts my heart. Lolo is 87 years old yet siya nag hatid sa dalawang Apo niya for moving up & graduation. I can feel his love, happiness, excitement & support sa kanyang apo. Sa mga lolo at lola jan na andyan palagi sa kanilang apo. Maraming salamat & mabuhay kayo.”
Apart from accompanying his grandchildren on stage to receive their accolades, the grandfather also found himself becoming the subject of a memorable photo captured by one of the grandchildren using a smartphone.
Marina Carvajal, the daughter of Lolo Segundo Gargar Timtim, revealed that her father had specifically requested to join the graduation ceremony alongside his grandchildren. “Gusto po kasi ng tatay ko na s’ya ang umattend sa graduation po ng apo n’ya, hehe, support po sa apo,” shared Marina.
