Netizens Probe the “Sketchy” Company that Creates the New Logo of PAGCOR
The eagle-eyed netizens questioned the sketchy background of the company that create the new logo of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
The PAGCOR recently faced outrage from netizens after unveiling its new logo, which cost more than P3 million. Aside from its contentious design, netizens questioned the business that built it.
Some internet users thought PAGCOR’s logo developer, Printplus Graphic Services, had a sketchy background. This came when they uncovered some crucial information concerning the aforementioned organization.
According to the investigation of a netizen named Del Laddaran, Printplus was only registered to PhilGEPS on June 14, 2023. Their registration date is thirteen days before PAGCOR granted them the contract.
The Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System, or PhilGEPS, was an online portal where businesses could bid on contracts for government projects. Printplus, in addition to its new registration, lacked an appropriate social media profile with its own logo.
They also discovered that Printplus’s business scope was limited to the ‘Barangay’ level in their registration with the Department of Trade and Industry. Some netizens wondered why the printing company that designed PAGCOR’s newest symbol did not even have its own logo.
They also noted that Printplus’s page only had one photo, a graphic from last year’s BBM-Sara campaign. Printplus’s office was also placed within an upscale area, which added to the netizens’ mistrust.
