Dimples Romana shared this heartwarming story
Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana revealed why her shoot for the Star Magic Catalogue was “special” for her.
Dimples is one of the homegrown talents of ABS-CBN. For almost three decades, she has showcased her versatility by playing different roles in movies and TV series. She is among the priced talents of Star Magic.
For the Star Magic Catalogue shoot, Dimples shared in an interview, based on the article in PUSH, recalled that hers was special.
It is because when the shoot happened, she was pregnant. “When I shot this with I think Dookie (Ducay), and my usual glam team, I was 7 months pregnant with Elio,” the actress said.
Reminiscing that moment, Dimples said that it gave warmth to her heart. “Looking at it now parang nakaka-warm ng puso kasi as you know, Star Magic 30, but also special time of my life. So, ang ganda parang na-capture yung moment na nanay ako,” she shared.
Aside from the fact that she was pregnant at that time, the actress also recalled that the shoot became special also because that was the day when her daughter Callie’s flight to Australia.
Although she was sad about her daughter’s departure, the actress was still able to maintain the professionalism that was needed from her. She went to the shoot without worrying about her puffy eyes.
She also said that the public may not know that showbiz personalities like her are going through tough times also but once they are facing the camera and the people, they maintain a certain composure.
“Nakita mo naman kung gaano ako ka-professional. Hindi mugto yung mata ko. ‘Wag po kayong mag-alala sanay na po ako. Ako po ay naga-artista, 27 years na po. I’m just saying that we all have our battles everyday none of them… none of you will know of it, but at the end of the day when we are pros, we show up. And since Star Magic is also family, we show up for family,” Dimples Romana said.
