Dimples Romana talked about her role in ‘The Iron Heart’
Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana made revelations about her fighting scene in the primetime series The Iron Heart in which she was wearing high heels.
Dimples has done a lot of different roles already in different Kapamilya teleseryes. She can pull off a “kontrabida” role while she can perfectly do the role of a protagonist as well. One of the most memorable scenes she did in her current TV series role is when she was wearing heels while doing a fight scene.
Previously, the actress shared that she felt a certain “takot” while doing the scene. Without realizing that she was still wearing her high heels, she just went to the fight scene from another scene.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Dimples Romana shared that the fighting scene in high heels was indeed unplanned.
The actress revealed that she was told that she can change to a more comfortable pair of shoes. “This was not planned. Napasubo lang ako. They told me, ‘Ate Dimps, you can always change your shoes.’ I said, ‘Why am I allowed to adjust? Is it because I’m a woman?” she shared.
Dimples said that she will not just because the male characters did not go the easy route, then, she will do the same.
“I-heels na ’yan!’ All the while, I kept praying that I don’t hurt my ankle or else we will be forced to pack up the set,” she said.
Although she wanted to go all-out for the fighting scene, Dimples said that she can’t do it because she is still healing from a C-section operation in 2022. She can’t do the twirl and tumbling and the production understands this.
Dimples Romana shared that the Selene Larisa character was offered to her soon after she gave birth to her son Elio.
