Pia Wurtzbach opened up about the bashing she received on social media
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach shared on the new social media application Threads her “worst Twitter experience.”
Pia is one of the celebrities who is active on social media. She shares life updates, her travels, OOTDs, different endeavors, and even opinions on certain issues. The third Pinay Miss Universe has accounts on different social media platforms.
Just recently, Meta released the social media app Threads. Pia was among the first celebrities in the Philippines who tried the new app.
In one of the threads she shared, based on the article in Inquirer, she talked about the “worst experience” she had on Twitter. It is when she posted her thoughts on Anti-Terrorism Bill. “Share your worst Twitter experience. I’ll go first—getting hate tweets literally every 30 seconds in 2020 when I voiced out my opinion on the Anti-Terror Bill,” she wrote.
Because of what she posted, she recevied bashing. One of the worst comment that she received was really offending. “One of the worst was ‘sasaksakan ko ng tubo p*ke mo, bobo ka walang alam,'” the former beauty queen said.
With all the hate comments, Pia said that she had to unintall the app in order to avoid receiving notifications. She also shared that she had a bad experience with a stalker.
Pia said that the stalker would read, comment, and watch every video that she posts on different social media platforms. The stalker would also frequently check the posts that her loved ones and close friends would share.
“They would also message the endorsements [and] brands I work with to destroy me with made up narratives,” Pia Wurtzbach said. The celebrity also shared that she already reported these kinds of accounts many times but Twitter did nothing about this.
