Paolo Contis has this way of addressing the rumored end of Eat Bulaga
Kapuso star Paolo Contis shared that they are preparing for the 44th-anniversary celebration of Eat Bulaga.
Paolo reacted to the rumors that the Kapuso noontime show will have its final episode on July 29. The hosts of the show were wondering where this rumor started. This was denied by TAPE Inc’s lawyer and Paolo also debunked the speculation.
Based on the article in PEP, Paolo, who is one of the people thinking about new segments to add, said that they are preparing for the upcoming celebration for the show’s anniversary.
TAPE’s contract with GMA is until 2024. Paolo Contis shared that they were already told by the management to prepare that this will not be an easy endeavor even before they started hosting the show.
Amid the rumors claiming that they will go off the air, Paolo stressed that they are set to have a celebration this anniversary month of their show. The big celebration will happen on July 29.
When asked if they will do something for Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, also known as TVJ, the pioneer hosts of the longest running-noontime show, Paolo refused to answer. “Malamang maba-bash na naman kami,” the actor said with a smile.
TVJ started their new show on TV5 with the title EAT but Tito stressed in an interview after their pilot episode that they are still doing efforts so that they can use the Eat Bulaga title. The trio stressed in previous interviews that they have the right to use the title as it was Joey who created this.
