BACOLOD FAMILY – On Thursday (July 7, 2023), tragedy struck Barangay 7 in Bacolod City as a devastating fire engulfed several homes.
Among those affected was the family of a woman in blue dress whose child failed to attend its recognition day. The victims lost their newly-built house. The family had taken a loan of ₱250,000 to construct their dream home, which had only stood for seven months before turning to ashes.
Despite this heartbreaking turn of events, the victim, with a smile on her face, uttered words of resilience, saying, “sige lang sir mabalik lang na, importante buhi.” (It’s alright, sir, we can rebuild. What matters is that we are alive).
