Cristy Fermin Defends the Teasing of Sharon Cuneta to Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards
Veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin defends the Megastar Sharon Cuneta after being criticized over a joke to Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards.
To recall, Sharon teases one of E.A.T’s hosts, Maine Mendoza, by using Alden Richards’ name. Maine and Alden are a former love duo that arose from the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Legit Dabarkads, a new noontime show that debuted on TV5 on July 1, included Sharon Cuneta as a guest. She complimented Maine while joking with Alden, who would play her son in a film.
“Maine, congrats ha! Nag-shooting ako ngayon, may kasama ako. ‘Yung anak kong bago, ‘yung bago kong son, ‘yung pangalan niya Alden,” Sharon hissed. “Hi, Alden! Nandito si Maine,” Sharon added.
Some Maine and Arjo Atayde fans were offended by the “Megastar” joke. Sharon’s taunting of Maine with her previous love team, Alden, should no longer be regarded negatively. Cristy defended the experienced actress on Cristy Ferminute.
“Nag-team up eh. Ano lang naman ‘yun, pabiro,” he added in her program.
