Drug Suspect Suffers Heart Attack During Buy-bust Operation in Lucena City
A drug suspect dies of a heart attack after being arrested by authorities during a buy-bust operation in Lucena City.
According to the report, the drug suspect died from heart arrest in Lucena City, Quezon province. The defendant was allegedly apprehended during a buy-bust operation undertaken by anti-drug authorities.
The police report revealed the suspect was identified as Jerry, a resident of the mentioned location. The components of Quezon, as well as city drug enforcement units from the Maritime Police Station, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Quezon, Regional Intelligence Unit-Quezon, and PDEA-Quezon, carried out the anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest.
Based on the report, Lucena City police identified the suspect as a street-level guy. The arresting cop, who disguised as a poseur buyer with the help of a confidential informant, was able to purchase a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet (HSTPS) carrying shabu during the operation.
The suspect resisted arrest, but after being handcuffed, he collapsed, causing police to transport him to the hospital, where he was proclaimed dead upon arrival at 7:45 p.m. The suspect had a heart arrest, according to the doctor. Three plastic sachets of shabu valued at P1,836 were allegedly taken from the suspect.
