Kaladkaren recalled one of her previous jobs
Showbiz personality Kaladkaren, the famous impersonator of journalist Karen Davila, is thankful to TVJ, and here is the reason behind this.
She is Jervi Li in real-life and her journey in the entertainment industry is an inspiration to the members of the LGBTQ community. From being an impersonator, she was given a chance to do hosting stints.
Eventually, she ventured into acting. She won the MMFF 2023 Best Supporting Actress award for the movie Here Comes The Groom. Becoming the first-ever transwoman news anchor in the Philippines is also an addition to her achievements.
Prior to these accolades, Kaladkaren worked behind the camera. Based on the article by entertainment writer Jun Lalin in Abante, she was a writer for Eat Bulaga years ago.
Right now, she is being co-managed by Star Magic, the talent management firm of ABS-CBN. The showbiz personality is also being handled by Ms. Kate Valenzuela. Although she signed a contract with the Kapamilya talent management company, she is now part of TV5’s news program, Frontline Pilipinas.
Lalin shared that during an interview, Kaladkaren was asked if she is happy that TVJ – the iconic trio composed of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon – is now part of the Kapatid network.
Then, the transwoman showbiz personality said that she will never forget that she started in Eat Bulaga, the longest-running noontime show. She was a writer in the noontime show and she is happy that TVJ, as well as director Poochie Rivera and creative writer Jenny Ferre, are now in TV5.
Kaladkaren also expressed that she has “malaking utang na loob” to TVJ and the noontime show. When asked if there is a possibility that she will appear on the trio’s new noontime show on TV5, she said, “Abangan!”
