Enchong Dee shows appreciation to Kaladkaren
Actor Enchong Dee said “I love you” to TV host Kaladkaren after the screening of their movie Here Comes the Bride.
The said movie is part of the 2023 Summer Metro Manila Film Festival and it is another version of the souls-swapping tale Here Comes the Bride in 2010 featuring Angelica Panganiban, Eugene Domingo, and John Lapus.
In this 2023 movie, the family members of Enchong’s character collided with KaladKaren’s group of “konteseras” in a magnetic field during a solar eclipse, based on the article in ABS-CBN.
Miles Ocampo, Maris Racal, Keempee de Leon, Gladys Reyes, Tony Labrusca, Awra Briguela, and Iyah Mina are also part of this comedy movie.
After the screening last Tuesday night, a press conference was held in which Enchong Dee said “I love you” to Kaladkaren. It is because of what she has done for him while they were shooting the movie.
The actor shared that Kaladkaren helped him with how he would portray his role. “I will always be grateful to Kaladkaren for being generous to me as an actor. Siya rin ang kalahati ng movie,“ he said.
Enchong also shared that in every scene, the production people would ask Kaladkaren to wake up and teach him how he will do the “kontesera” role.
Kaladkaren also showed appreciation to Enchong Dee because she also asked for help from him when it comes to portraying the manly role. “Nagpapasalamat din ako nang buong puso kay Enchong for helping me act like a man! Bawat eksena tinatanong ko din siya how to deliver ‘yung mga linya,” the TV host said.
She added that it was difficult for her to act manly because she already left this in the past. “Sa totoo lang napakahirap sa isang transgender woman tulad ko na magpakalalaki. Tinalikuran ko na ‘yan!” Kaladkaren jokingly said.
