Seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez shared photos taken during their “pamamanhikan” before her son actor-politician Arjo Atayde gets married to Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza.
Arjo and Maine are set to hold their wedding this month. The couple wants to keep the details from the public. Their parents are letting them decide the details as well.
In a previous interview, Sylvia shared that Arjo and Maine are personally overlooking the preparations and they are not intervening in what the couple wants to have during their special day.
In Sylvia Sanchez’s recent Instagram posts, she shared that the Atayde family went to Maine Mendoza’s host for the traditional “pamamanhikan.” In Filipino culture, it is part of the tradition that the groom and his family will go to the house of the bride and formally ask for her hand for marriage to her parents.
The seasoned actress shared a video showing their arrival at Maine’s house. “The Very Important destination [red heart emoji],” she wrote in the caption of her post.
Following this, Sylvia shared a bunch of photos. In the caption of her post, she shared that the “pamamanhikan” happened on June 25, 2023. “The Ataydes & Mendozas will soon merge as one family,” she wrote, adding that this is exciting.
In the comment section of Sylvia’s post, several netizens congratulated Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza. Fans also expressed excitement for the next chapter of their lives.
Previously, the seasoned actress said that her future daughter-in-law is really a kind woman. The family of Arjo is indeed ready to welcome the Phenomenal Star.
