Cum Laude Graduate Turns Bus Tickets into Graduation Sash ““Naiipon ko lang po kase sya talaga kase ang dami talaga nya“
A cum laude graduate in Bulacan has turned her collection of bus tickets collected throughout her university years into a graduation sash.
In the midst of the popular money sashes trend during graduation season, Nicole Castro, a 22-year-old Information Technology graduate and Cum Laude from San Ildefonso, Bulacan, came up with a creative twist for her graduation celebration.
She crafted a sash out of the bus tickets she had collected throughout her university years.
Castro shared that she had accumulated the bus tickets since her first year of college when she started taking the bus to Bulacan State University in the City of Malolos.
She explained, “From anyatan [sa] San ildefonso po to plaridel, pag papasok po ako ng bulsu tapos same din po pagpapauwi, bus po talaga sinasakyan ko since sobrang init saka mas mabilis po byahe kahit standing ng 1-2 hours plus 30 minutes na pagiintay ng bus.”
Castro further added, “Naiipon ko lang po kase sya talaga kase ang dami talaga nya, until nakakita ako ng post ng money sash sa fb naisipan ko na gawing sash yung mga bus ticket ko.”
The cum laude graduate managed to connect around 20 bus tickets, which she had saved since her first year of college.
“Kapag nakikita ko po kase yung bus tickets, ko naiisip ko yung kwento [sa] bawat bus na nasasakyan ko, pati na rin po ‘yung gastos kada papasok,” Castro shared.
