Allan K Wants TAPE Inc to Change the Name of New “Eat Bulaga”
Former host of Eat Bulaga Allan K appealed to the Television and Production Exponents Inc (TAPE) to change the name of the noontime show.
Allan K revealed that he is still watching the newly redesigned ‘Eat Bulaga,’ and he can sense the ‘cringe’ of those who were left out of the noontime show. In an interview with Allan, Julius Babao expressed his surprise that ‘Eat Bulaga’ and ‘Dabarkads’ are still mentioned in their old program.
“Nararamdaman ko ‘yung cringe ng mga taong naiwanan din, sila mismo magsasabi, ‘Mga Dabarkads’ tapos ‘yung ‘Eat Bulaga’,” said Allan. “Feeling ko din hindi rin kaya ng loob din nila eh pero wala naman silang magagawa, trabaho ‘yun eh.”
He stated that he had nothing to say to the new ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts as long as they continue their work. If Allan has any advice for the new ‘Eat Bulaga,’ it is to announce its name so that the public will accept it more readily.
“Ang tip ko lang talaga na maibibigay as a whole, change the name of the show!” said the comedian. “By then, katanggap-tanggap na siguro ‘yun sa mga followers talaga ng ‘Eat Bulaga’.”
According to the interview, ‘Eat Bulaga’ would not be utilized as the name of the Dabarkads show due to a legal battle between TAPE and TVJ over intellectual property rights. Meanwhile, Allan reported that the Jalosjos made him an offer.
Jalosjo, he claims, offered him quadruple his talent fee merely to keep him on the longest-running noontime show. In addition, he disclosed that three of his co-hosts, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Maine Mendosa, were granted quadruple talent fees.
