Man Illegally Selling Fake TESDA Certificates and Driver’s License Arrested
Police authorities arrested man for allegedly selling fake Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) certificates and fake driver’s license.
Authorities have apprehended a man who was involved in the sale of forged TESDA certificates and Land Transportation Office (LTO) driver’s licenses. When the victim filed a complaint, the entrapment operation against the perpetrator was launched.
According to the report, the victim went to the police after discovering that the National Certificate II (NC-2) he purchased for was a forgery. The suspect was identified as “Datu Simeon”, a resident of the city’s Barangay Rosary Heights 10.
According to Maj. John Vincent Bravo, commander of city police station 2, Datu Simeon sells fraudulent NC-2 certificates and driver’s licenses. According to Bravo, the guy has already sold over 100 forgeries.
Bravo stated that the man manufactures NC-2 credentials for a charge and that the customer no longer attends TESDA training. According to the research, each bogus NC-2 certificate costs P3,500.
“He already sold more than 100 fake certificates. The man produces NC-2 certificates for a fee and the buyer no longer attends TESDA training anymore,” Bravo said.
This is an online transaction, and the victims must pay online as well. It was a face-to-face transaction in some cases. The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education, as well as TESDA BARMM, both denied any connection to the suspect.
