Thief Caught by Owner Trying to the Sell the Stolen Motorcycle Online
Police authorities arrested a thief for allegedly trying to sell the stolen motorcycle in online market, which caught by the owner.
After allegedly attempting to sell a stolen motorcycle online in Quezon City, police apprehended a guy for breaching the Anti-Fencing Law. Fahad Macalandap, 25, of Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, was identified as the suspect by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Novaliches Police Station (PS 4).
Jose Mirando, according to the QCPD investigation, was the victim. According to the QCPD, Mirando discovered his motorcycle gone on May 28 as it was kept inside their garage in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City.
Based on the report, in June 8, the victim saw his motorcycle for sale on Facebook MarketPlace. Mirando promptly reported to PS 4 operatives, who quickly performed a buy-bust operation on the suspect.
According to QCPD, the victim behaved as a buyer and transacted with the suspect. On that day, the two arranged to meet at a petrol station on Susano Road in Barangay San Agustine, Novaliches, Quezon City, at 10 p.m.
The offender was apprehended by PS 4 officers after the victim positively identified his motorcycle. The suspect recovered the victim’s motorcycle, which had no plate number. Macalandap will face charges for breaking Presidential Decree No. 1612, often known as the Anti-Fencing Law.
