TVJ will still use the Eat Bulaga title for their show on TV5
Rumor has it that TVJ’s Eat Bulaga will replace Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime in the noontime slot of TV5 starting July.
On June 6, it was officially announced by Mediaquest Holdings, Inc. that the iconic trio and the rest of the Dabarkads who left TAPE Inc with them will have a new show on TV5. This partnership made avid EB viewers excited.
In a statement, Tito Sen expressed gratitude that this partnership will allow them to continue giving fun, prizes, and entertainment.
However, this somehow worries the fans of It’s Showtime which is also airing on TV5. Based on the article in PEP, the Kapamilya noontime show’s contract with the Kapatid network is set to end on June 30, 2023.
With this, it was said that Eat Bulaga will take over the noontime slot. However, it was also said that It’s Showtime will still air on other channels such as on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z Channel 11, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWantTFC livestream.
It was rumored that the Kapamilya noontime show will be aired on TV5 but it will fall as a delayed telecast. When Tito Sotto was asked if their noontime show will be aired on the Kapatid network, he said, “MediaQuest actually. Many platforms on cable and internet, including TV5.”
Tito also stressed that they will still call the show Eat Bulaga and they are working on it. The Kapuso noontime show is still using the same title.
In an Instagram post on June 7, Joey de Leon recalled the time when he created the title of the current longest-running noontime show in the Philippines. He said that it was a “delicious” title.
