ALDEN RICHARDS – In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Alden Richards has this statement about the relationship between Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde.
Celebrities Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza have been together for many years now and last year, they finally got engaged. They are marrying this year but both of them are silent about the details.
In a previous article, Arjo did not disclose any details but said that he is enjoying the process and preparations. He is also looking forward to it.
“We’re both emotionally ready, we’re both very happy, I guess, I can speak for her naman,” he said. The couple have been together for four years now. Their wedding is reportedly happening this July.
And in a current interview with Ogie Diaz, Alden Richards expressed that he hopes people would respect her relationship with Arjo as the actress, he believes, deserves to be happy.
To recall, Alden and Maine used to be a love team – a breakout love team. They formed a love team known as AlDub and with the actress’ current relationship, he feels nothing but happy about it for her. He stressed that he’s “really, really happy” for them.
“Sa ngayon po kasi, kung anong meron si Maine [Mendoza] and Arjo [Atayde], nire-respeto ko po ‘yun. I’m really, really happy for her. Kasi at least, kahit papaano, nakikita ko sa kanya mismo na masayang-masaya siya,” he said.
He added that what they have should be respected and that whatever Maine has now is something she really deserves.
In the same interview, he also touched on the allegations that he and his former onscreen partner are married and have children. And just like what he always tells, these are not true. He maintained that these stories are not true.
“Ang tsismis naman po, hangga’t hindi napapatunayan, will remain a gossip. D’un lang po ako palagi. Wala akong tinatago sa kanila. Pero d’un sa part na may anak, wala po kaming anak ni Maine. ‘Yan po ang totoo. Sinabi rin niya po ‘yan,” he added.
Meanwhile, he also maintained that AlDub is really one of the highlights of his career. It made a huge impact on his showbiz career. He even considered their love team as a great blessing in his life.
