Michelle Dee Reveals That She Is Bisexual

Michelle Dee Opens Up About Being Bisexual

MICHELLE DEE – Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee just revealed that she is bisexual.

On her second try, Kapuso actress and beauty queen Michelle Dee took home the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 crown. In 2022, she participated in the national pageant but was only hailed as Miss Philippines Tourism.

Following her MUPH victory, pageant fans made divisive remarks. Some believed Bohol’s bet Pauline Amelinckx was more deserving while some thought the other Top 5 finalists should have taken home the crown.

In a previous article, Michelle Dee received some advice from Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. The Fil-German beauty queen told Michelle not to let other “chiefs” dictate her. She added that she admired her for staying true to herself.

Just recently, the 28-year-old celebrity came out as bisexual. A special issue of Mega Magazine featuring the beauty queen, which was published on Monday, had a cover article in which she revealed her sexual orientation as bisexual.

Michelle Dee revealed that she has been one for a very long time. She claims that her family was made up of “empowered and strong” people, especially her mother Melanie Marquez.

“I definitely identify myself as bisexual. I’ve identified with that for as long as I can remember…”

“I’m attracted to all forms of beauty, all shapes and sizes,” she added.

Michelle Dee said that her family was made up of “empowered and strong” people, especially her mother Melanie Marquez. She said, “I grew up in an environment where we’d appreciate pogi [and] maganda.”

“I never had to quote, unquote come out. I was never really confronted about it by my parents or people who matter,” she added.

The Kapuso star added that she has long supported and allied with the LGBTQIA+ community. She claimed that she never felt uncomfortable about her sexual orientation because “I’m so much more than how I identify myself.”

“I have so much more to offer the world and the universe than how I identify myself. This is also the reason why I chose not to come out despite the pressure to come out during the competition,” she continued.

Michelle believes this is the appropriate time to speak forward because there are many malicious reports. She said, “When somebody takes away your story, then you should take control of that narrative. Turn it around and make it an empowering story. So that’s what I’m doing.”
