Boobay speaks about the necessary break that he is taking right now
Kapuso comedian Boobay confirmed that the management of ABS-CBN told him to take a break for now.
This decision of the Kapuso management came after the “silent seizure” that the comedian had during his guesting on King of Talk Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk show. While interviewing his guest, Tito Boy noticed that the comedian was not responding anymore and he thought he was just trying to stop himself from crying.
That incident on national TV worried friends and fans of the comedian. Even his ex-partner expressed worry.
Just recently, a report surfaced that Boobay was advised by GMA to rest for now. Buboy Villar took over temporarily his hosting on The Boobay and Tekla Show (TBATS).
It is known to many that just like many celebrities, the Kapuso comedian is also providing for his loved ones. Apparently, this is the reason why he has been working so hard and grabbing every opportunity that he has.
In a recent article published on PEP’s site, the Kapuso comedian confirmed that he was told to take a break by his home network. “Yes, po. Pansamantala lamang po ay hindi muna ako makikita sa The Boobay and Tekla Show,” he said.
The comedian also shared that he is okay now but he has a “lifetime maintenance medicine.” “Twice a day na po ako nagte-take ng gamot na pang-anti-seizure,” he added.
He also said that they are still observing if the medicine is effective and fortunately, he has not experienced seizures so far. The comedian shared that he needs to have clearance from his doctor in order to start shooting again.
Boobay said that understands the decision of the management to make him take a break. He is also thankful for everyone who has been supporting their show and the bosses of GMA.
