Ex-Police On Hunt after Shooting 2 Brothers in Nueva Vizcaya

Authorities are now looking for the ex-police who fled after shooting two (2) brothers which lead to the death of one in Nueva Vizcaya.

Authorities are looking for a former police officer in connection with the shooting of two brothers in Barangay Escoting, Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya, which resulted in the death of one of the brothers.  Elmer Calibuso, an ex-PNP member of the Santiago City Police Office and a resident of Barangay Abra in Santiago City, was identified as the suspect by Police Regional Office 02 Elmer Calibuso.

Ex-Police Shooting

Based on the report of PLtCol. According to Emil Pajarillo, PR02 spokesperson, the suspect shot the victim brothers Rex Garnadozo, 45, and Fredelito Garnadozo, 36, both in Escoting Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya, around 7:00 p.m.

According to the police investigation, the victims had just arrived home from their corn field when the perpetrator, who was waiting outside the victims’ house, shot Rex Garnadozo. The victim’s younger brother attempted to assist him, but he was also shot in the thigh.

Following the crime, the suspect left in a gray Grand Starex in an unknown direction. According to the police investigation, the defendant and the victims had a previous land dispute because they grew maize next to each other in their territory.

Meanwhile, every police station in the towns and provinces has been told to keep a close eye on the checkpoint. Authorities urged the public to identify potential locations where the ex-policeman might pass and to get after him immediately.
