MAJA SALVADOR – In an interview, Maja Salvador shares the pieces of advice she received from Vilma Santos and Tirso Cruz.
When it comes to being an “artista”, what matters to most artists is not how high they can reach in their career but how long they could stay. Most of them are after longevity as this is harder to achieve considering the competition in the industry.
Many young artists just pop out everywhere and people easily get sated when an artist doesn’t give them something new.
And famous actress Maja Salvador received the best pieces of advice from the screen veterans: Tirso Cruz III and Vilma Santos.
When it comes to acting and drama, no one can surely contest the talent of these veteran actors. Their talent and professionalism made them establish a lasting career in the show business industry and up until now, they remained in demand.
In an interview with Boy Abunda in his Kapuso show, Maja shared these.
Accordingly, her Tito Tirso has these words: “Isipin mo na tayong mga artista ay isa ring mga produckto. Paano mo ibebenta? Paano mo ire-repackage para hindi sa iyo yung tao?”
Maja admitted that she is not afraid or shy about asking those who are experts what to do in their field. She started young and among the ways she did to survive and learn is ask the veteran actors. She listened to them and their words became a part of what she is now as an actress.
She then furthered by telling what the Star for All Seasons told her and that is: “Huwag mong isipin kung paano ka umiyak. Isipin mo kung paano mo sila mapapa-iyak.”
