TIRSO CRUZ III – Veteran actor Tirso Cruz III is the newly-appointed Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) chairman.
Among the veteran screen actors of the local show business industry is Tirso Cruz III. And just recently, he was appointed as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), the position of Liza Dino.
He had already taken an oath and he could not believe that he was chosen to hold this position by President Bongbong Marcos. He is honored to have this opportunity but stressed that he won’t leave the spotlight because acting is his bread and butter which means that he will not leave Ang Probinsyano just yet.
Last July 5, he took the oath in Malacanang. Dino, who was appointed until 2025, said she respects the decision of the new administration and indicated that the process for the transition and turn-over to the new chair will be smooth.
In a report from ABS-CBN, the appointment of the new FDCP chair earned various comments from his fellow celebrities. Director Joey Reyes believes in his and in his capacity to lead. The director believes that he will be respectful as a leader and someone who is as well a listener and compassionate to others.
JC De Vera also expressed support to Cruz and has expectations. He wished the new chair all the best and for his good health. Ruby Ruiz, on the other hand, expects that the new chief would continue to be fair with everyone, regardless of the artist’s stature in the industry.
