Edu Manzano appeared to be hinting at the current status of his relationship with Cherry Pie Picache
Veteran actor Edu Manzano said that he has no plan to get married again amid the rumors that he and seasoned actress Cherry Pie Picache broke up.
Just recently, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared that his source revealed that Edu and Cherry Pie have called it quits. This is not the first time that this kind of rumor circulated.
Back in December last year, it was rumored that Edu and Cherry Pie, tagged as the “PieDu” tandem, separated. However, amid the breakup rumors, the actress shared a photo of them together.
During Cherry Pie Picache’s movie premiere night, Edu Manzano showed support. As they were seen together in the said event, the breakup rumors subsided. However, this was revived due to a recent vlog of Diamond Star Maricel Soriano, who is Edu’s ex-wife.
Maricel interviewed Edu on her YouTube channel and they talked about family and love life, based on the article in Bandera. The veteran actor said that he is so fond of his granddaughter Rosie, the daughter of his son Luis Manzano with Jessy Mendiola.
Edu said that as of now, Rosie is his only grandchild because his other children are not yet married. “Sana mabuhay ako para makita ko (magiging mga apo), long enough makita ko silang lahat settle down at happy sa buhay,” the actor said.
Then, the Diamond Star that she is wishing for Edu’s happiness also. The actor replied, “Bakit mukha ba akong hindi happy?” Maricel explained that she just wants her ex-husband to have his own child again and get married someday.
Edu Manzano answered, “Wag na! Ayaw ko na!” When asked why, he said that he is already 67 years old.
As of this writing, Edu and Cherry Pie haven’t spoken yet about the status of their relationship.
