MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2023 – Here’s Celeste Cortesi’s advice to her successor ahead of the Miss Universe PH 2023 coronation night.
38 beauty queens are competing for the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 to offer the country more pageant success after Fil-Italian model-beauty queen Celeste Cortesi. At the MUPH 2023 coronation, which is slated to take place this May 13 in the Mall of Asia Arena, a new queen will be crowned to represent the nation at the biggest pageant in the world.
The hosts of the pageant will be Alden Richards and Xian Lim, with Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi serving as a special guest host. During the MUPH 2023 coronation night, the current Miss Universe, R’Bonney Gabriel, will also make a special appearance. Jessica Sanchez, a Filipino-American singer who finished as runner-up on “American Idol Season 11,” will give the evening’s last performance.
Miss World Philippines 2019 and current Miss Universe Philippines Tourism Michelle Dee, current Miss Universe Philippines Charity Pauline Amelinckx (who is competing in her third competition), host-VJ Angelique Manto, and Reina Hispanoamericana 2021 third runner-up Emmanuelle Vera are other well-known competitors.
Three mothers— Clare Dacanay, Mary Eileen Gonzales, and Joemay-an Leo—make history by competing in the pageant. Other contenders are Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific International 2019 Klyza Castro and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Panlilio.
Princess Anne Marcos, Christine Juliane Opiaza, Airishh Ramos, Lesley Sim, and Jannarie Zarzoso are likewise among the front-runners for the title, say pageant experts.

During the preliminary competition, Celeste Cortesi gave advice to the woman who would succeed her as Miss Universe Philippines. On Wednesday, Celeste spoke with the 38 contenders, as was shown on Aubrey Carampel’s “24 Oras” report.
“As long as you really stick on your principles and your values and you’re guided by your purpose, you will be that kind of empowered and inspirational woman so that’s really my advice…”
“And of course, always enjoy and really cherish every single moment because again, this, for me, has been one of the most memorable experiences of my life,” she added.
