Celeste Cortesi Finally Speaks On Failed Miss Universe Bid

Celeste Cortesi Speaks About Her Journey To Miss Universe Crown

CELESTE CORTESI – Filipina-Italian beauty queen Celeste Cortesi recently spoke about her journey to the Miss Universe 2022 crown.

Celeste Cortesi admitted that she went through a lot of sadness after losing to Miss Universe 2022 but she believes she did everything to win for the Philippines. For the first time in Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Celeste participated in a one-on-one interview after her journey at the Miss Universe 2022 international pageant held in New Orleans, Louisiana, recently.

It can be remembered that the Fil-Italian beauty queen failed to enter the top 16 in the said pageant, which saddened many Filipinos and pageant fans because this was the first time the Philippines did not enter the top 16 since 2010.

During Celeste’s interview with King Of Talk Boy Abunda, who is also known as a trainer of beauty queens, when it came to answering the question and answer segment, he immediately asked Celeste about her Miss Universe journey.

The 25-year-old model admitted that she gave everything she could into her fight and she wanted to win not only for herself but for the whole country. “Alam mo Tito Boy I really put so much hard work, effort, and time into this and I really wanted to win not just for myself but also to my country,” she said.

Celeste Cortesi also admitted that she felt pressure because of pageant fans’ expectations. “Sobrang hirap para sa akin kasi of course mataas ang expectations from others and also from me. I really thought I got this all I have to do is to work very hard and I will get it but at the end of the day we also need to understand that judges were looking for something else and it is fine,” she said.

The model also did not hide that she went through real depression a week after the pageant but she is grateful to everyone who supported her pageant journey until the end and she believes she did everything to win.

“Sobrang hirap para sa akin pero I have my family there so I was okay and of course I went through a very difficult time the weeks to follow but I know in my heart that the respect, the love and support that I gained from the Filipino fans is really more valuable than the Miss Universe crown, and I really really know that ginawa ko ang lahat para sa bansa,” she said.

Meanwhile, after the pageant, Celeste also plans to try showbiz and acting so now she is still studying to learn more Tagalog.
