Michael V versus Rendon Labador: Tuesday Vargas Defends Comedian

Michael V had a reminder for content creators and this did not sit well with Rendon Labador

Comedienne-singer Tuesday Vargas defended Kapuso comedian Michael V following social media personality Rendon Labador’s criticism.

To recall, Michael, also known as Bitoy, shared a post on Instagram featuring a reminder for all content creators or those who are sharing videos on different social media platforms.

Bitoy stressed that content creators should first understand the meaning of the word “content.”

Rendon slammed this and said that Bitoy is already “laos” or a has-been.” The social media personality also said that content creators, like him, are reigning over social media now.

Tuesday Vargas shared her thoughts on this. Through her lengthy Facebook post, she defended Michael V and those who are working hard in the mainstream media. The comedienne-singer said that being in showbiz is not just a matter of having many fans because, at the end of the day, talent is a main factor in staying in the industry.

Tuesday even cited her experience with social media personalities during shootings. “Madami ang sikat sa soc med na kapag nakasama namin sa taping ay parang fish out of water. Kapag hindi na ma edit kasi nga live, adliban na sa set, pakikinig sa cue ng direktor sa floor at simpleng acting sa harap ng camera ng iilang linya ay na ngangapa,” she said.

She also pointed out that this is not a competition between content creators and celebrities in the mainstream media as these two groups are both working to earn and it is just that the latter is adjusting to adapt to the new trends on social media.

Tuesday directly contradicted the “laos” comment that Rendon had against Bitoy. “Pero bakit need mong i post na laos na yung nag comment about having meaningful content?Director, artista, writer siya at respetado siya sa industriya. Hindi siya nakikipag kumpetensya sa iyo,” the comedienne said about Bitoy.

She also stressed that she is a fan of social media personalities who are “matino.” However, she stressed the fact that “content is king.” Tuesday received support from her followers for what she said about this matter.
