TAPE has paid Vic Sotto but not the other hosts?
VIC SOTTO – The talent fee of Vic Sotto is now paid but according to rumors, the talent fee of other hosts is not paid yet.
In a previous article, Bossing Vic Sotto confirmed that Television and Production Exponents Incorporated (TAPE Inc.) has finally paid him for his 2022 talent fee. To recall, TAPE owing him millions for his talent fee got highly publicized.
“Bayad na, okey na!” he said and added, “Buti na lang, na-media.”
Joey De Leon also received payment and according to Sotto, TAPE actually owed them more than Php 30 million each.
And now, there are rumors that although TAPE paid him already, the other hosts of the show remained unpaid.
Is this true?
According to a report from PEP, the cheques for De Leon and Sotto have been issued already. Sotto received it last May 6, Saturday.
However, when Sotto was asked if everything’s just running smoothly in EB under a new management, he has this intriguing statement: “I will comment on that when the right time comes. Tamang panahon.”
He also made no comments when asked about EB being transferred to another network.
Meanwhile, former Dabarkads Anjo Yllana also suffered the same problems when it comes to receiving payment from TAPE. He also experienced some delays and there was a time that the payment for his work got delayed for a year.
“Sobrang mahal na mahal ko yung Eat Bulaga!. My darkest days, my darkest months, my darkest… alam ko, nandiyan sila. Biro mo, nagtatrabaho ako, wala akong suweldo,” he said but because of his love for the show, he decided to stay and just kept his silence about this matter at that time.
