Matteo Guidicelli is switching networks
Actor-host Matteo Guidicelli is set to officially sign a contract with GMA-7 after being a Kapamilya for many years.
For several months now, rumors have been circulating that Matteo is negotiating with the Kapuso network. Last February, the husband of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo was spotted with GMA executives.
Based on the article in PEP, Matteo’s supposed network transfer to GMA back in August last year did not push through as he temporarily replaced Billy Crawford in Tropang LOL.
To recall, Billy had to stay in France for several months for his stint on the TV show Danse avec les stars and he won the said celebrity dance competition. Tropang LOL bid goodbye on April 29, 2023.
After several months of delay, Matteo Guidicelli will officially become a Kapuso. Reportedly, he will sign a contract with GMA-7 on May 11, 2023. The Cebuano celebrity will be part of the longest-running morning show Unang Hirit.
Meanwhile, Matteo’s plan to transfer the Kapuso network is not a secret anymore because he previously shared on his social media page photos taken during his meeting with GMA executives.
He was accompanied by Viva’s Boss Vic del Rosario. Matteo is being managed by the Viva Artists Agency, as well as his wife Sarah.
Rumors surfaced back in September 2022 that the negotiation between the actor-host and GMA did not push through. Allegedly, the reason was that the network did not agree with the project that Matteo pitched.
