Matteo Guidicelli had a lunch meeting with executives of GMA-7
Actor-host Matteo Guidicelli was spotted with Kapuso executives and this garnered speculations that he will soon transfer to GMA-7.
To recall, in the last quarter of 2022, rumors surfaced that Matteo’s management was already negotiating with the Kapuso network. However, the expected network transfer that he would have did not push through. It was said that GMA allegedly turned him down and the alleged reason for this was that the actor-host demanded a high talent fee.
Another reason surfaced why the negotiation between Matteo Guidicelli and GMA allegedly failed. It was rumored that the actor-host pitched what he would want to do for his own show, the network already has it.
However, the recent photos of Matteo with the GMA-7 executives appeared to be suggesting that the negotiation is going smoothly between the two camps. The actor-host shared a photo taken during their lunch meeting.
He was with Boss Vic del Rosario, the Chairman and CEO of the Philippine media and entertainment company, Viva Communications, Inc. Matteo has been under the Viva management for many years now, as well as his wife Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo.
Sparkle GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President for Talent Management Group Joy Marcelo also shared a photo on her Instagram page that was taken during the lunch meeting with Matteo. The photo was also tagged to the Instagram pages of GMA Public Affairs First Vice President Nessa Valdellon, GMA Vice President Arlene Carnay, and GMA Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes.
As of this writing, Matteo Guidicelli and the Kapuso management haven’t released yet an official statement regarding the said lunch meeting that they had.
Currently, Matteo is part of the Kapatid noontime show Tropang LOL which is being aired back to back with the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.
