Kapamilya actress Chie Filomeno slammed a basher who criticized her because of her choice to enhance her physical appearance.

Cosmetic enhancement or plastic surgery has become a part of the entertainment industry for many years now. As they say, it is an obligation of celebrities to look good and presentable in front of their fans.

In this modern times, this way of improving one’s appearance has become acceptable. However, it is a fact that there are still people who are not in favor of the artificial way.

It is also a known fact that there are some celebrities who are not directly admitting that they underwent cosmetic enhancement while some, like Chie Filomeno, are not afraid that they went under the knife to improve their looks.

In a recent TikTok video that she shared, Chie addressed a basher’s comment about people who had cosmetic enhancement. The said netizen was pointing out that the celebrity should not talk about women empowerment when she is improving herself through artificial ways.

Chie pointed out that she is not encouraging or telling someone that this is the right thing to do. However, she said that there is nothing wrong with cosmetic enhancement.

“Kung ito ang sa tingin mo magpapasayo sa’yo, magbibigay confidence sa’yo, why not do it?” the Kapamilya actress said, adding that as long as she is not hurting anyone.

Then, Chie Filomena asked this question to the basher to stress her point. “Pera mo ba ang ginagamit ko sa pagpaparetoke ko?” the actress asked.

She also said that as adults, people should know what is wrong and what is wrong, and for her, the wrong thing to do was what the basher was doing. “Yang ginagawa mo ang mali. Parang dini-degrade mo ang lahat ng taong nagparetoke. Parang ang sama-sama naming tao,” she said.
