PAGASA Says Easterlies & Localized Thunderstorms to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (April 26, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Easterlies will be affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

The Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over entire Visayas, Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will experience similar weather condition.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire archipelago will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.

Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said that the country may expect the highest temperatures at midday.
“Pagsapit po ng tanghali, asahan ‘yung pinakamatataas na temperatura. Mainit po dito sa may parte ng Metro Manila— hanggang 33°C. Pero yung heat index na tinatawag— o yung mararamdamang init ng ating katawan— ay maglalaro mula 37-40°C,” Estareja said.
“At ‘yung ibang pinakamainit na lugar sa Luzon, such as dito sa may San Jose sa Occidental Mindoro, posibleng umabot sa 40°C ‘yung ating heat index,” he added.
Estareja reported that Zamboanga City, Dipolog City, Davao city, Cotabato, and parts of Caraga will experience the highest temperatures in Mindanao.
