Snatcher who Tries to Evade Checkpoint Arrested After Motorcycle Crash

Police authorities arrested a snatcher after the motorcycle ridden crashed when he tries to evade a checkpoint in Quezon City.

A man who was identified as a snatcher was captured and detained after reportedly stealing a woman’s bag in Quezon City. The guy was apprehended after his motorcycle collided with a post, according to police.

According to GMA News, the culprit was identified as Rommel Jhon Infante, 19 years old. The offender, according to police, seized a woman’s bag on Banawe Street. According to police, he attempted to flee the checkpoint in Barangay Manresa.

However, in his rush, his motorcycle collided with a pole and collapsed, according to La Loma Police Station Commander Police Lieutenant Colonel Romil Avenido. He noted that the victim’s description of the culprit wearing a blue helmet, black jacket, and gray jogging trousers while riding a blue motorcycle with silver is very accurate.

The suspect recovered the victim’s bag, which included a cell phone and money. A loaded gun and shabu worth P40,000 were also purportedly recovered. According to police, on April 1 between Banawe Street in Caloocan City, one of the suspects riding in tandem took cellphones from victims on the street twice.

The suspect has already been imprisoned for stealing, according to the authorities. Because of life’s difficulties, the suspect acknowledged grabbing smartphones five times in various locations, based on the report.

He denied having a gun or narcotics on him. He’ll be charged with robbery snatching, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
