Ogie Diaz’s Mother Dies At 87
OGIE DIAZ – The mother of talent manager and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz has passed away. She was 87.
Ogie Diaz, whose real name is Roger Diaz Pandaan, is a Filipino actor, comedian, talent manager, and entertainment reporter. He is more commonly recognized as “Pekto,” the name of his character in the long-running former tv program “Palibhasa Lalake.”
He was the sixth child out of eight. When Ogie was sixteen years old, his father was murdered during a robbery. Ogie was unable to complete his academic studies as a result of this tragedy, therefore he turned to show business.

Recently, on his social media account, Ogie Diaz shared that her mother has passed away. He also posted a heartfelt message for her late mom. She was 87 years old.

On Sunday, Ogie Diaz posted on social media to confirm the tragic news. The talent manager and veteran entertainment writer said that Mameng, his mother, was able to see all of her children before she passed away.
“Salamat sa lahat ng pakikiramay sa pagpanaw ng aking mahal na ina, si Aling Mameng. 87 yo, hindi na kami choosy. At least, naipikit niya ang kanyang mga mata na kumpleto ang kanyang mga anak. Higit sa lahat, I’m proud to say na naibigay ko naman sa nanay ko ang lahat ng pangarap niya sa buhay,” Ogie said.
The showbiz reporter concluded his message by expressing gratitude and honoring his mother for her sacrifices and selflessness.
“Salamat sa lahat ng sakripisyo at pagiging selfless, Nay! Mahal kita. Magkasama na kayo ngayon ni tatay,” said Ogie.
