KIM ATIENZA – Netizens reacted to Kapuso host Kim Atienza’s viral ’50 degrees Celsius’ post.
TV host and trivia master Kuya Kim Atienza become trending on all social media platforms due to his Facebook post on April 21, 2023. In his post, Kim reminded the public to be prepared and be careful due to the extreme heat of the weather in Metro Manila.
“50 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila tomorrow. Please be careful,” was Kim’s warning that many people believed because apart from his credibility, he has enough knowledge about the weather because he served as ABS-CBN’s weatherman for a long time.
Lots of netizens thanked Kim Atienza for reminding them and for his concern for Filipinos. But some social media users returned to him when the heavy rain poured down on Metro Manila this Saturday afternoon.

These are some of the reactions and messages of netizens to Kim with photos and videos as evidence that they were soaked by the rain.
Kuya Kim has no intention of confusing or deceiving the public because according to newspapers the heat index will reach 50 degrees Celsius or “dangerous levels” on April 22.
As Kuya Kim used to say, “ang buhay ay weather-weather lang.” There are many surprises. The sudden downpour was not his fault, and, in a way, it was a good thing that it happened because people escaped the brutal heat of the weather.
