Teenager Gets Stuck Inside Claw Machine After Attempted Robbery
A teenager in North Carolina, USA was stuck inside a claw machine after attempting to steal a stuffed toy.

Players use a joystick to control a mechanical claw, which they maneuver over a pile of toys or prizes. The goal is to position the claw just right and then lower it to try and grab a prize. Sounds easy, right? Well, not quite.
The claw’s grip strength, along with its timing and precision, are carefully calibrated to make winning a challenge. It requires skill, strategy, and a bit of luck to successfully nab a prize and claim victory.
In North Carolina, USA, a 13-year-old teenager found himself in a precarious situation when he entered a claw machine and tried to steal toys from it. The incident took place at Carowinds theme park in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 16.
According to a spokesperson from the theme park, their staff received a report about the boy who had tried to break into one of their claw machines to take toys and had become trapped inside.
The particular claw machine involved in the incident was the Cosmic XL Bonus Game, manufactured by the Elaut Group. The Elaut Group’s company website states that this particular claw machine is 6.5 feet tall, 5 feet wide, and 5 feet deep.
The teenager remained stuck inside the claw machine for over 17 minutes until a medical response team was able to rescue him. Fortunately, he did not sustain any injuries and was promptly reunited with his parent/guardian.
As a consequence of his actions, the theme park spokesperson stated that the teenager has been banned from visiting Carowinds theme park for one year, serving as a penalty for his attempted theft.
