PAGASA Says Easterlies & Localized Thunderstorms to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that fair weather condition is expected over most parts of the country.

On Tuesday (April 18, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA said that the easterlies will be affecting the eastern section of the country. Partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms is expected over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over entire Visayas, Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

However, weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported that the entire country will have a fair weather condition.

“Ang buong bahagi ng ating bansa ay makakaranas ng generally fair weather condition maliban na lamang ‘yan sa mga tsansa pa rin ng mga isolated na mga pag-ulan, pag-kidlat at pag-kulog dulot ng mga localized thunderstorms,” Castañeda said.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the rest of the country will have slight to moderate.
