PAGASA Says Hot and Humid Weather Condition to Prevail Nationwide Until Weekend

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies will bring hot and humid weather condition with chances of rains over parts of the country.

On Monday (April 17, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the easterlies will continue to affect the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

“Malaking bahagi ng ating bansa ay makararanas ng mainit na panahon pero possible pa din ang mga isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,” PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said.

Thee easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, and Aurora.

“Sa kasalukuyan, easterlies ang siya hong nakakaapekto sa ating bansa. Makikita po ninyo ang mga kaulapan sa eastern section sa ating bansa, partikular sa Visayas at Mindanao. Ito po ay mga localized thunderstorms,” Badrina said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience the same weather condition.

However, the country may experience hot and humid weather condition throughout the week.

The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate.
