Luxury Car Accidentally Hit by Tree in Pasay City
A luxury car, reportedly carrying four Chinese passengers, was involved in an accident in Pasay City when it collided with a tree.
According to authorities, the foreign passengers of the white luxury car fled the scene immediately after the incident, which occurred on the center island of Macapagal Boulevard, past 2 am on Friday (April 14, 2023).
 The car was severely damaged, with visible bloodstains found both inside the vehicle and on the road.
Ambrosio Payumo, the spokesperson of the Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office, stated that the car appeared to have been speeding and had crashed into a tree on the center island.
“May naabutan akong isang Chinese na nakaupo, bale parang entrance ng parking area iyon, basag iyong nguso. Nung tinatanong ko kung ano ang nangyari at hinahanapan ko ng lisensiya, puro senyas ang ginagawa sa akin. Hindi ko malaman kung hindi nila ako maintindihan o takot sila magsalita,” Payumo said.
He also added that there were indications that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office is currently conducting an investigation into the incident. They are also actively searching for the passengers of the luxury car, as they fled the scene after the collision.
The authorities are determined to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident and hold those responsible accountable.
