Claudine Barretto remembers her late ex-boyfriend
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto had a late-night visit to late actor Rico Yan’s grave on Easter Sunday.
Claudine and Rico were among the hottest love teams back in the 90s. Their onscreen partnership became a real relationship and until now, their tandem still has a lot of fans.
Unfortunately, Rico’s wonderful showbiz career was cut short. In his prime as an actor, he died on March 29, 2002, in Palawan. This sad news shook the entertainment industry and fans were indeed devastated.
Over the years, although Claudine Barretto already had other men in his life, she still remembers Rico Yan from time to time through her social media posts. On April 13, the actress shared a video and photos taken during his recent visit to Rico’s grave.
“Late post #eastersunday late night Visit,” the Optimum Star wrote in the caption of her post and this was followed by the hashtag “claudinians,” referring to her fandom, and “rycb,” which is the initial of Rico’s name, and hers.
In the comment section of Claudine’s post, several fans expressed their continued love and support for the former reel and real-life sweethearts.
“Ayy kung buhay lng Rico sigurado ako hindi hindi ka niya pababayaan @claubarretto pinaka paborito ko loveteam on and off cam [red heart emoji],” Instagram user @ellavivit commented.
Meanwhile, not all of Claudine’s posts about Rico had positive reactions. To recall, during the campaign season last year, the actress claimed that the late actor admired former President Rodrigo Duterte and the incumbent President Bongbong Marcos.
A pro-Leni Robredo writer slammed Claudine Barretto for this post. Writer Noel Ferrer showed a photo showing Rico Yan was there during the celebration of the overthrowing of a dictator years ago.
