Denied Entry: Midwifery Examinees in Koronadal City Barred Due to Lack of Booster Shots

KORONADAL CITY – 30 individuals lacking of booster shots have been barred from Midwifery licensure examinations.

In Koronadal City, Barangay Carpenter Hill, over 30 individuals who were scheduled to take the Midwifery examination at UP School were unexpectedly denied entry. The reason? They did not have booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccine. which was allegedly not properly communicated to them by the Professional Regulation Commission.

Expressing their grievances, the affected individuals claimed that they were not informed in advance that booster shots were a requirement for the examination. They were caught off guard and were subsequently barred from taking the exam, despite some of them being in the midst of observing fasting.

Adding to their emotional distress, the majority of those denied entry were from the Maguindanao area, Cotabato City, and General Santos City, making the situation even more challenging for them.

The affected examinees pleaded with the authorities, but their appeals were allegedly ignored, leaving them disappointed and frustrated.
