Cindy Miranda is changing her image in showbiz
Actress Cindy Miranda talked about her decision to reinvent herself from being a “hubadera” to becoming a serious actress.
Before entering the world of show business, Cindy was a beauty queen. When she eventually became an actress, she did “hubadera” roles via Vivamax. She did several movies with themes for adults and somehow she was put under this label.
However, her recent movie showcased her different side. In the movie Adik Sa’yo with actor JM de Guzman, Cindy’s comic and romantic onscreen persona.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Cindy Miranda said that it has been her goal to do projects with wholesome themes. “Masaya po ako because that’s really the plan. Ang feeling ko, ang dami kong liko na ginawa. Ang dami ko pong pinagdaanan,” she said.
She also said that people might think that she just suddenly appeared but many did not know that she went through a lot of hardships. Cindy said that she was starting to doubt herself as she was seeing her contemporaries going up already while she was still in the same place for a long time.
“Parang ang feeling ko, tama yung timing, e. Palaging may plan. Kailangan mo talagang daanan yung sakit, yung hirap,” she added.
Cindy is thankful that everything she worked hard for finally resulted in something good. The hardships she went through somehow helped her emotions. “Kailangan totoo lahat. Hindi ka makakahugot sa sarili mo nang hindi mo pa nae-experience and I’m so glad,” the actress said.
With opportunities being given to her now, Cindy is very happy and thankful for the trust she gets from people in the industry.
The former beauty queen is also happy that she learned a lot from her new project with JM. Cindy Miranda also mentioned that the story of the movie is indeed good. However, the comedy part is a challenge for her as naturally, she is not a comic person.
